Share the News, Calgary's Doors are Open

A big thanks to all our tourism industry friends who came out to the First Flip Pancake Breakfast to stand with the Mayor as we launched our campaign to let the world know our Doors are Open. The State of Emergency has lifted and we are working to get visitors to your doors.

In a collaboration with Travel Alberta and the Calgary Hotel Association, Tourism Calgary will be sharing an inviting message that "Calgary's Doors are Open" across the country for the next three weeks through radio, newspapers, online advertising, social media and public relations. The campaign features Mayor Naheed Nenshi who has been nationally recognized for his steadfast and inspirational leadership throughout the crisis.

We are also having fun with the open doors concept on social media. We want the world to see that the doors to our city are open, and we need your help. Here are the instructions for joining the #yycisopen conversation:

1. Take a photo or video with an “open” sign.
2. Share it on social media using #yycisopen.
3. Be creative!
4. Pass the sign onto a neighbour and ask them to do the same.
