The Honorary White Hat Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have shown a long-term commitment to the hospitality and tourism industry, and have strengthened Calgary’s reputation as a world-class city. Amazing people wear white hats. 

The White Hat of the Year Award

This award recognizes a group, individual, or organization in the hospitality and tourism industry that has enhanced awareness of Calgary and its reputation, either through financial or economic growth, by creating a legacy, attracting positive recognition for the city, or contributing to community spirit.

The Doug Johnson Service Award

This award honours an exemplary individual who has continuously worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for 20 years.

The Mayor's White Hat Award

This award honours an individual who is committed to the development of Calgary's hospitality and tourism industry, demonstrated by at least five years related service.

Media Recognition Award

For a member of the media who shows a commitment to top-notch coverage of Calgary's vibrant tourism and hospitality industry.
