Bring your binoculars to this wildlife preserve popular with birdwatchers and nature lovers. Visit the Nature Centre or hike the trails along the Bow River.

Prince's Island - Summer Festivals
Located in the central part of Downtown Calgary, the park offers several picnic sites, playgrounds, pathways, hiking trails, large art sculptures, flower gardens, water fountains and a cafe. Several festivals and events are also held here each year. When the summer hits, Prince's Island Park is the place to be.

River Café
Beside the Bow River in Prince's Island Park, the River Café features regional and seasonal cuisine in a rustic fishing lodge setting. The River Café is nestled amongst a grove of poplars, beside a sparkling lagoon.

Plus 15 Walkway
Take a look up when you're walking in downtown Calgary and you'll notice the buildings are linked with enclosed suspended walkways 15 feet above the ground. To keep warm in the winter, the 60 suspended bridges connect 100 buildings, creating a 18 km walking route for circulating the core of the city without having to go outside.

Fly fishing in the Bow / Bow River sports
You don't have to go far to find a place to reel in your catch of the day. Calgary's Bow River is world-renowned for its trout fishing, and you'll find other great trout-filled lakes in the area.
