SPOTLIGHT on Makeshift Innocence
In 2007, lead singer Jesse-James Cameron formed Makeshift Innocence. Canadian born, Cameron spent three formative years in Negril, Jamaica, where he fell in love with the tones and feel of Reggae music – music that now infuses the group’s Rock, Reggae, Pop and Roots sounds with authentic Caribbean flavour. Known as one of Western Canada's best live acts, selling out several Alberta shows in 2011, they showcased twice at Canadian Music Week last year - selling out the Bread and Circus and the Hideout. They were one of 12 bands from around the world chosen to showcase at the Worldwide Radio Summit in Los Angeles on April 30, 2011 and the ONLY CANDIAN band selected to showcase at MUSEXPO in Hollywood on May 1, 2011. They begin a two month tour of the US in May 2012.
